It isn’t often doctors in a community are recognized for their achievements in the medical profession and the effect it has on our community. LVIM is proud to announce the 2008 Medical Research and Physician Community Service Awards, the first awards honoring Polk County physicians in the areas of Community Service and Medical Research.

Nominations for these prestigious awards are encouraged to honor a physician, active or retired, for their ongoing works in the medical field. Presentation of these awards will take place at the Derby Dinner.

The awards are:

Physician Community Service Award
Medical Research Award

LVIM will also recognize the deserving physicians/medical groups in the following categories:

Volunteer Dentist of The Year
Volunteer Medical Doctor of the Year

Any Physician active or retired is eligible for these awards. Nominations must be submitted by February 29th, 2008 with the following forms completed:
